Rezz has formally introduced her new album, As The Pendulum Swings.
The midtempo bass heavyweight and beloved “house mother” confirmed on social media yesterday that her newest full-length LP will arrive through her personal HypnoVizion Data imprint on September 12.
Although the complete tracklist is below wraps on the time of writing, followers can count on As The Pendulum Swings to function 13 tracks, together with beforehand launched archival hits “Contorted” and “Telepathy,” in addition to “Prophecy,” a 3rd single due out tonight at midnight.
Serving because the opener to the brand new LP, “Prophecy” effortlessly shapeshifts between a tightly wound mechanical groove and ominous synth textures, showcasing sharpened sound design and a brand new sonic ethos that attracts on components of French electro and darkish techno.
Upon its launch, As The Pendulum Swings will mark the Canadian producer and DJ’s fifth studio album as Rezz, following current releases akin to her 2023 goth-themed EP, IT’S NOT A PHASE, and 2024 heavy bass album, CAN YOU SEE ME?.
