Jack Black joined The Go-Go’s onstage at a profit live performance in Los Angeles on Saturday (August twenty third), mashing up the latter’s hit “We Obtained the Beat” with the Black Sabbath traditional “Paranoid.”
The efficiency capped off a seven-hour live performance within the yard of TV author Donick Carey’s residence, with proceeds benefitting the Musack Basis. All through the evening, numerous different notable comedians and musicians carried out, together with Fred Armisen, Thomas Lennon, Margaret Cho, Robyn Hitchcock, Lisa Loeb, Bikini Kill’s Kathleen Hanna, Love and Rockets’ David J, The Treatment’s Lol Tolhurst, and extra.
Black was backed by The Go-Go’s Charlotte Caffey, Jane Wiedlin, and Gina Schock, in addition to Armisen and others, as he appeared in his typical tie-dye outfit, singing and dancing very very like The Go-Go’s did of their traditional music movies. What began out as a straight-up model of “We Obtained the Beat” become a mashup with Sabbath’s “Paranoid,” as Black and firm paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne.

Different highlights from the live performance included Lennon in his full Reno 911! uniform singing “Trip” with The Go-Go’s, and Loeb fronting a rendition of “Our Lips Our Sealed.”
