South African musician Tebogo Mashego, greatest identified for his viral hit Biri Marung, has left followers shocked after revealing that he’s stranded in Nigeria with no cash.
The artist, who rose to fame when docs and college choirs danced to his chart-topping single, appeared in a tearful video that circulated on X on Friday, 19 September 2025.
Within the clip, Mashego mentioned his group deserted him and refused to pay him, leaving him determined for monetary help.
“Life is tough. I advised them that I don’t wanna come to Nigeria. Please assist so I can come again house,” he pleaded.
The video rapidly went viral, with South Africans flooding social media with blended reactions.
Whereas some sympathized with the singer’s plight, others responded with humor and disbelief.
