H1-KEY quietly launched one in all my favourite songs and albums of final 12 months with their summery Lovestruck EP. Now, they’re again to have a good time their anniversary with a really completely different sound. Not Like A Film (세상은 영화 같지 않더라) takes benefit of their sturdy vocals however doesn’t do a lot else that feels notable.
Mid-tempo tracks like this are a dime a dozen in Okay-pop and infrequently relegated to the second half of albums to be carried out in cute outfits at fan concert events. Or… they’re launched as anniversary singles with restricted promotion. As common with H1-KEY, the track is sung very properly however that’s not sufficient to make it compelling. The verses float by with restricted melodic enchantment regardless of the women actually going for it and delivering some highly effective notes. In the meantime, the refrain is sentimental sludge repeating the times of the week in an immediately acquainted (then, immediately forgettable) chant-sung hook. I most likely received’t pay attention once more except they tack this onto one other sturdy album and it will get performed by default.
