Tony Levin is gearing up to bring it back

Issues are about to get very bass-y.

The enduring Tony Levin, bassist extraordinaire, god of session musicians, longtime member of King Crimson, Liquid Rigidity Experiment, and Peter Gabriel’s chosen bass participant, has launched the primary single off his upcoming solo album, titled Bringing It Right down to the Bass

Working with fellow Peter Gabriel collaborator Manu Katché in addition to Dominic Miller and Alex Foster, “Bringing It Right down to Bass” is a celebration of the artwork Tony Levin has devoted his life to – simply actually good, attention-grabbing, stable bass work.

Usually (and unfairly) ignored within the context of working in a band, the bass work on “Bringing It Right down to the Bass” pairs gorgeously with the saxophone and keyboard work as an alternative of competing for air time, and is held up properly by Manu Katche’s ever-excellent drum work.

Hopefully, extra of the identical is to come back – I can’t wait to listen to the remainder.
