Zak then claimed he was fired two weeks after being “reinstated”, and allegedly advised to make up that he was leaving the legendary band attributable to his different work commitments.

In a prolonged caption, he wrote: “I used to be fired two weeks after reinstatement and requested to make an announcement saying I had give up the who to pursue my different musical [endeavours].

“This could be a lie.”

Zak – who’s the son of Beatles drummer Sir Ringo Starr – insists he would by no means “give up” The Who.

He continued: “I really like the who and would by no means had give up.
