Robbie Williams has shocked followers by releasing his new album BRITPOP three weeks sooner than deliberate.

The surprising drop got here within the early hours of Friday (16.01.26) morning, with the album paintings projected onto a number of well-known London landmarks to mark the launch.
Robbie was initially set to launch the LP on October 10, 2025, only a week after Taylor Swift launched her newest album The Lifetime of a Showgirl, however he pushed the discharge again to February 6, 2026 as a result of the Shake It Off singer would have blocked him from topping the charts.
The report is Robbie’s thirteenth studio album and sees him leaning closely into guitar-driven sounds impressed by the period that formed his early solo ambitions.
Asserting the discharge, he mentioned: “You thought it was gonna be then… then we determined it wasn’t… and now I’ve determined it is now. Women and Gents: BRITPOP – the album.”
The follow-up to 2019’s The Christmas Current and 2016’s non-festive The Heavy Leisure Present options the singles Rocket, Spies, Human, Fairly Face and All My Life.
The LP boasts an eclectic lineup of collaborators, together with Chris Martin of Coldplay, Gaz Coombes, Black Sabbath legend Tony Iommi, Mexican pop duo Jesse and Pleasure, and former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow.
Talking beforehand concerning the inspiration behind the challenge, Robbie defined that BRITPOP is the album he all the time wished to make after leaving Take That in 1995.
He mentioned: “I got down to create the album that I wished to put in writing and launch after I left Take That in 1995. It was the height of Britpop and a golden age for British Music.”
The Angels hitmaker added: “I’ve labored with a few of my heroes on this album; it’s uncooked, there are extra guitars and it’s an album that’s much more upbeat and anthemic than traditional. There’s some ‘Brit’ in there and there’s definitely some ‘pop’ too – I’m immensely happy with this as a physique of labor and I’m excited for followers to listen to this album.”
If Robbie does high the charts with BRITPOP, he’ll draw degree with The Beatles for essentially the most UK chart‑topping albums.
