Backengrillen, an experimental band that includes three members of legendary hardcore act Refused, have introduced their debut album, a self-titled effort arriving January twenty third through Svart Data.
The announcement comes a month earlier than Refused play their closing reveals ever, as a part of their farewell tour. The band will shut out its profession with a collection of concert events of their native Sweden, culminating with a pair of gigs December twentieth and twenty first of their hometown of Umea.
Backengrillen (Swedish for “again grill”) options Refused members Dennis Lyxzén (vocals), Magnus Flagge (bass), and David Sandström (drums) alongside saxophonist Mats Gustafsson, who has labored with Sonic Youth, Jim O’Rourke, and others.
