A trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming film And Out Comes the Wolf, a fictional punk-themed film that takes inspiration from Rancid. Whereas no launch date has been introduced, the trailer teases that the movie is “coming quickly.”
The movie itself was really introduced again in December 2024, described as an “East Bay punk music drama.” The title takes its title from Rancid’s iconic 1995 album …And Out Come the Wolves. As The Hollywood Reporter described in its preliminary report on the film, “Set towards the East Bay punk music scene within the mid Nineteen Nineties, Wolf is a narrative of grit and desires in a world of violence and desperation.”
The film, which has the tagline “A Coming of Rage Movie,” stars younger actors Orlando Norman, Spence Moore II, Heidi Grace Engerman, and Cassady McClincy Zhang as a bunch of highschool mates within the punk scene, whereas veteran actors like Giancarlo Esposito, Harold Perrineau, and Taryn Manning even have roles within the movie.

In accordance with the film’s official Instagram account, Rancid’s Tim Armstrong was seen on set, though it’s unclear if he seems within the movie or served as a guide or was simply paying a go to. In the meantime ThePRP stories that the band Scowl seems within the film.
