Everyday good – Patrice releases a 25th anniversary limited vinyl edition of Ancient Spirit album

It’s been 25 years since Patrice launched his debut album Historic Spirit, a file that helped outline a brand new period of reggae-influenced soul music popping out of Europe.

Initially launched in 2000, Historic Spirit featured tracks like On a regular basis GoodShine On My Means, and Worry Guidelines, songs that rapidly related with a era hungry for acutely aware music with a uncooked, emotional edge. One of many standout cuts, On a regular basis Good, carries a timeless message about the fantastic thing about merely being alive. It’s a tune that continues to resonate with longtime listeners and new followers alike.

To mark the anniversary, Patrice Babatunde Bart-Williams is releasing a restricted vinyl version of Historic Spirit, together with a reissue of his 2005 album Nile. Each can be found now for preorder through Supow Music.

In a brief reflection shared on-line, Patrice revisits the early days of the album and the intention behind On a regular basis Good, providing followers a glimpse into how it began.
