Keanu Reeves remembers Gene Hackman as being a “no nonsense” co-star.
The Hollywood actor handed away in February, aged 95, and Keanu has now shared his reminiscences of working with Hackman on The Replacements, their 2000 sports activities comedy movie directed by Howard Deutch.
Throughout an look on the New Heights podcast, Keanu shared: “While you take a look at his profession, the breadth of roles like comedy, drama, the filmmakers, it is simply so particular. And he was very nice to me.”

In the meantime, Francis Ford Coppola hailed Hackman as a “nice actor”.

Nathan Lane, who starred alongside Hackman in The Birdcage, admitted that it was a “super privilege” to work with the Hollywood big.
He stated: “Easy and true, considerate and soulful, with only a trace of hazard. He was as good in comedy as he was in drama and fortunately his movie legacy will stay on without end.”
