Katy Perry will likely be supported by Rebecca Black on ‘The Lifetimes Tour’.
Rebecca Black is becoming a member of Katy Perry as a gap act on her upcoming ‘Lifetimes Tour’
The ‘Firework’ hitmaker was a shock visitor on the ‘Friday’ singer’s live performance on the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday evening (08.03.25), with the pair becoming a member of forces on a rendition of Perry’s 2011 hit ‘Final Friday Evening (T.G.I.F.)’ – 14 years after Black made a cameo within the music video.
Perry proposed to Black, getting down on one knee to ask if she would open for her on the jaunt.
She requested her: “Will you…”
Asking for clarification, Black stated: “Marry you?”
To which, Perry replied: “Kinda, be part of me on the Lifetimes Tour?”
The excited singer agreed: “Sure, sure, sure.”
Perry later posted to Instagram: “About to spend so much extra Fridays with @msrebeccablack.
“WELCOME TO THE LIFETIMES TOUR BABES.”
The carousel included a clip of Perry sharing the story of how Black got here to look within the ‘Final Friday Evening’ promo.
She recalled: “Rebecca and I each love Fridays.
“In order that’s why I requested her to be on this music video as a result of Friday is like my favorite day of the week, and it is her favorite day of the week.”
She went on: “We was pals in third grade after which one thing occurred. I do not know what occurred, however…”
Black added: “This occurred.”
Perry then quipped: “Nicely, I am sorry I am not a C cup.”
The ‘Lifetimes Tour’ kicks off on April 23, in Mexico Metropolis, and is ready to conclude on November 11, in Madrid, Spain.
Perry’s final live performance trek was 2017 and 2018’s ‘Witness: The Tour’.
Teasing what followers can count on, Perry advised Rolling Stone: “We’re giving BPM. We’re giving celebration. We’re giving unity. We’re giving dance.
“It is going to be like Disneyland on Wheels, because it at all times is. A feast for the eyes and the ears.”
