Justin Hawkins has warned music is “in hassle” if Yungblud is the way forward for rock.

The Darkness frontman sparked upset when he blasted the I Assume I’m Okay hitmaker’s MTV VMAs tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne and whereas he doesn’t see the row as a “spat”, he stands by his feedback over Yungblud’s use of autotune.
He instructed Traditional Rock journal: “I don’t see it as a spat. We stated every thing we wish to say concerning the VMAs, and in some ways in which’s cynical and nauseating and a bit s***.
“However the ‘bit s***’ bit comes from the auto-tune that was being run in actual time.
“If the way forward for rock wants auto-tune to hold a track, then we’re in hassle.
“Additionally, if the way forward for rock comes from musical theatre and Disney, if that is Ozzy’s inheritor, we’re in hassle.
“We’ve stated every thing we wished to say, and the one purpose why it’s an ongoing feud and he’s come again and stated, ‘Oh they’re bitter and jealous’ is as a result of they know we’re proper. It’s unhappy actually.”
Yungblud beforehand slammed “bitter and jealous” rock star critics of his Osbourne tribute on the MTV VMAs, after he took to the stage with Excessive’s Nuno Bettencourt and Aerosmith duo Steven Tyler and Joe Perry to pay tribute to the late Black Sabbath icon, who died aged 76 in July.
He stated on Jack Osbourne’s Attempting Not To Die podcast: “I believe the strangest factor about that was all I used to be attempting to do was my finest in your outdated man, as a result of he gave me such a present.
