Alice in Chains singer-guitarist Jerry Cantrell has chosen Sparta to help his upcoming summer season US tour, following the latest announcement that Filter have been dropping off as frontman Richard Patrick recovers from spinal surgical procedure.
The outing kicks off August sixteenth in San Diego, and runs by a September 14th present in Kansas Metropolis. Alongside the way in which, it should hit such cities as Austin, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Minneapolis, amongst others, with tickets out there right here.
Final week, Filter revealed they have been dropping off the tour, stating, “Sadly, Filter is not going to be heading out on the highway with Jerry Cantrell subsequent month as beforehand deliberate. Following medical recommendation, Richard Patrick has been suggested to not tour presently. He had disc substitute surgical procedure and restoration has been slower than anticipated. We hope to see you on tour quickly!”

On Thursday (July thirty first), Cantrell named Sparta because the tour’s new help act, remarking, “Excited to announce Sparta as help for the second leg of the North American I Need Blood Tour.”
Sparta are led by former On the Drive-In singer-guitarist Jim Ward, with their most up-to-date album being their 2022 self-titled LP. Amongst their standout songs since forming in 2001 are “Minimize Your Ribbon,” “Air,” and “Taking Again Management.”
The summer season run marks the second stateside leg for Cantrell and his solo band this 12 months, following a winter outing.
