Jack Savoretti has made a grand return with the soul-stirring ballad Do It For Love, co-written by Miles Kane.

Described as “a Morricone-meets-Bassey torch tune”, the 41-year-old English-Italian singer and his indie star pal Miles, 39, have been impressed by a clip of Julio Iglesias and Charles Aznavour performing Com’è triste Venezia.
Jack shared: “We have been each suited up, having simply fled an awards ceremony.
“And we thought: we must always do a tune like that.”
It was while performing in Japanese Europe that the that means of the observe dawned on Jack.
He defined: “This tune is me explaining to the viewers why we’re up there. The minute my piano began, the minute I mentioned the primary line – ‘misplaced myself in a wishing nicely / want that I had somebody to inform / all this stuff I’ve carried out / I did them for love’ – I bought it.
It’s an anthem for anybody who retains going, who refuses to take no for a solution. You’ll be able to romanticise why we write and sing and carry out songs. You’ll be able to attempt to outline it. However primarily: it’s as a result of we love doing it. That’s at all times our love.”
The tune is accompanied by a vintage-looking black-and-white one-take efficiency video filmed at Eastcote Studios in West London.
