Good Charlotte stopped by The Tonight Present Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, August seventh, to carry out “I Don’t Work Right here Anymore,” a track from their model new album Motel Du Cap.
Performing alongside a string part, Good Charlotte gave “I Don’t Work Right here Anymore” its world premiere on Fallon. Benji and Joel Madden each swapped vocals on the monitor and steadily sang in concord, whereas the band carried out an earnest, emotive rendition of the track. “I Don’t Work Right here Anymore” finds the Madden brothers rejecting an employer and refusing to work, as a result of “life’s too brief”: “I’ll by no means be such as you, so maintain your uniform,” they sing within the refrain.
