The Waterboys have enlisted Fiona Apple to contribute her distinctive, gritty vocals and sweeping piano to their new track, “Letter from an Unknown Girlfriend.” Stream it beneath.
The observe is taken from their upcoming album, Life, Loss of life & Dennis Hopper, and is written from the angle of a lady calling out her former abuser. “I used to say/ No man would ever strike me,” Apple sings. “And no man ever did/ ‘Til I met you.”
