“Golden,” from the smash hit Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunters, received Greatest Unique Music (Movement Image) on the 2026 Golden Globes, and the monitor’s singer and songwriter EJAE accepted the award by delivering a poignant message about perseverance.
“Once I was a bit woman, I labored tirelessly for 10 years to fill one dream: to turn out to be a Ok-pop idol. And I used to be rejected and dissatisfied my voice wasn’t ok,” EJAE mentioned, award in hand. “So, I leaned on songs and music to get by means of it — and now I’m right here as a singer and a songwriter.”
“This award goes to individuals who’ve had their doorways closed at them,” she mentioned to shut out her speech. “I can confidently say that rejection is redirection, and so by no means hand over. It’s by no means too late to shine such as you had been born to be.”
