Deidre Corridor is reflecting on her decades-long run on Days of Our Lives.
The 78-year-old actress who performs Marlena Evans, a charismatic psychiatrist, spoke completely to ipromiseyoumedia on the sixtieth anniversary celebration hosted by Peacock on Nov. 8.
“It is a way of life, it is a household, it is a spot to belong,” Corridor says, who joined the cleaning soap in 1976. “I raised my kids right here, one of the best time with one of the best individuals.”
“Nothing’s been on tv for 60 years? Recalling her first day on set, Corridor says she blended up which character she was enjoying.
“I had a scene with Matt Carey, and I approached him. He was working with Mary Fran, who performed Amanda, and I assumed she’s so lovely, and I used to be transfixed watching her work,” Corridor says. “Matt was introducing us, and he stated, ‘I might such as you to fulfill Dr. Evans.’ And I stated, ‘Oh no, please name me Amanda.’ And the scene stopped.”
