Scars on Broadway, the outfit fronted by System of a Down guitarist-singer Daron Malakian, have introduced a brand new album titled Hooked on the Violence, their first studio LP in seven years. Forward of its July 18th launch, the band has unleashed the only “Killing Spree.”
Malakian composed, produced, and carried out all of the songs on the album, with contributions from Scars on Broadway bandmates Orbel Babayan (guitar) and Roman Lomtadze (drums).
Concerning the track “Killing Spree,” Malakian stated, “It’s a taboo matter folks is likely to be afraid to speak about. Children have rebelled eternally. Psychological issues have all the time been there too. Within the final 15 years, we’ve seen a technology that can stroll into faculty and kill different college students. I’m not glamorizing or advocating it. I’m simply saying, ‘The children are on a fucking killing spree.’ It’s what I see in entrance of me.”

He added, “I’m not simply speaking about killings both. The July 18th launch date for Hooked on the Violence occurs to be Malakian’s fiftieth birthday. The musician has been out on the highway with System of a Down enjoying a sequence of South American exhibits. This summer time, SOAD will carry out two-night stands at stadiums in East Rutherford, New Jersey; Chicago, and Toronto, the place they’ll be joined by Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, and Deftones, respectively (choose up tickets right here).
