In early June Irish singer-songwriter Carrie Baxter popped on our radar with a neo-soul/R&B anthem which noticed her paying tribute to all of the hardworking ladies throughout the globe. On her latest launch “Roses”, she groups up with longtime collaborator/producer EDBL for a R&B/disco-infused piece that explores a bittersweet expertise after the actual fact. Over the dreamy and ethereal pads and guitar licks, Carrie sings “Caught up within the second/Trippin over candy discuss , late evening fears/I by no means wanted roses/Looks like what I needed was greater than you would give” as she displays on the previous. Because the saying goes, hindsight is 20/20 and Carrie can see clearly now as she unpacks all the great and unhealthy reminiscences from a renewed perspective.
