Aphex Twin, a.ok.a. Richard David James, is a pioneering digital music producer and composer whose progressive and experimental method to sound has considerably influenced the evolution of digital music, notably the IDM style. Evidently, his {qualifications} far exceed these of a marriage DJ—but, over the weekend, he took on that position.
As initially documented on TikTok, Aphex Twin DJed at a pal’s marriage ceremony over the weekend. Footage from his set was posted on-line (see beneath), exhibiting the musician performing close to the dance flooring with visuals projected on a display screen within the background. Among the many tracks he performed was “The Bells” by drum and bass producer Jonny L.
Aphex Twin is ready to have a good time of his 1994 sophomore studio album Chosen Ambient Works Quantity II with a brand new field set, arriving on October 4th. Pre-orders for the expanded version at the moment are ongoing.
