The 28-year-old singer will group up with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, and Excessive’s Nuno Bettencourt to honour the late Black Sabbath legend – who died in July aged 76 – with a medley of songs on the ceremony in New York on Sunday (07.09.25).
The Zombie hitmaker marked the announcement by sharing a photograph of himself and Ozzy on his Instagram account.
He wrote: “They’ve requested me to pay tribute to you on the @vmas on Sunday evening. I’ll attempt my finest to do you proud Oz. Tune in from up there. I like you endlessly. [bat emojis] (sic)”
Yungblud lately vowed to spend the remainder of his life honouring Ozzy Osbourne.
He instructed The Sunday Occasions Tradition journal: “He taught me self-belief and so I’m going to take his spirit and ensure everyone is aware of for the remainder of my life who Ozzy Osbourne was — he meant all the pieces to me.”
Yungblud – whose actual identify is Dominic Harrison – was shocked when he heard Ozzy had died, simply two weeks after he had been a part of the rocker’s farewell present in his native Birmingham.
He stated: “Ozzy was effervescent.
