Mojo Morgan releases 9-track solo EP ‘Jamaica Love’

Grammy Award–profitable Mojo Morgan, founding member of Morgan Heritage, has launched his long-awaited solo venture ‘Jamaica Love’. The 9-track EP blends reggae with nation, soul, and world rhythms in what Mojo calls Rasta Rock, an extension of his work with Morgan Heritage. The EP already made it into the High 5 of the US reggae iTunes Chart.

Opening with the phrases of H.I.M. Haile Selassie I on When The Father Calls, the venture options collaborations throughout generations and contains singles like DesiresJamaica LoveMountain Track (with brother Gramps and his son Esh Morgan), and Make It alongside Popcaan, Persistent Legislation, and Pablo YG. Devoted partly to his late brother Peetah Morgan, the EP marks each a tribute and a brand new step on Mojo’s private musical path.

As Mojo Informed Natasha Williams of the Jamaica Star: “I’m Jamaican, so the whole lot! do is genuine. I’m not the inner-city child from Kingston, I’m from Brooklyn – born and raised, however Jamaica is in my DNA. I’m who you’d name a ‘Yankie Boy who come from the slums of Brooklyn to the countryside of Jamaica and makes it dwelling and turns into a family title on just a little island, 2,000 miles away.”

Following the success of the Morgan Heritage 2.0 World Tour, Mojo now shares his solo imaginative and prescient instantly with followers worldwide, bringing reggae into contemporary areas together with his distinctive sound and perspective.
