South African Grammy winner Tyla is celebrating the discharge of her new EP We Wanna Get together, which dropped on Friday.
One of many standout tracks, Dynamite, options Nigerian Afrobeats icon Wizkid, and followers are loving the shock collaboration.
In an interview with Capital XTRA Breakfast on the day of the EP’s launch, Tyla shared the journey behind Dynamite, revealing that the music had been within the works for years.
“With Dynamite, I made [it in] 2022,” she stated, including that one other observe, Mr. Media, was recorded in London together with her standard crew.
“Yeah, it’s a banger. with bangers, I don’t actually like explaining songs, prefer it says what it means. I’m enthusiastic about it. I really feel like I wanted to set free that one.”
Tyla stated her collaboration with Wizkid was particularly significant, because it got here at a time when she was nonetheless largely unknown.
