The Boomtown Rats star organised the 1985 musical jukebox charity live performance with fellow musician Midge Ure to lift funds for aid of the 1983–1985 famine in Ethiopia, which began with the discharge of the all-star charity hit ‘Do They Know It is Christmas?’.

The musical begins its stint at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre on Could 15, following its sold-out run at The Outdated Vic theatre.

The press occasion this week was hosted by Reside Support and Trustees of the Band Support Charitable Belief, Sir Bob Geldof, Midge Ure, Harvey Goldsmith and John Kennedy.
